Artist & Illustrator – Neil Vokes
Starting with the ROBOTECH MASTERS series for Comico Comics in 1984, Neil Vokes has been creating comics for over 40 years. His work was published by the two major comic book publishers: Marvel (‘Untold Stories of Spider-Man’) and DC (‘Superman Adventures’). He was also present at Dark Horse with ‘Adventures of the Mask’ and ‘Jonny Demon’. Among his other credits are Malibu’s ‘Tarzan the Warrior’, Crystal/Apple’s ‘Eagle’ and Comico’s ‘Robotech Masters’. He has also drawn graphic novels like ‘Parliament of Justice’ and ‘The Black Forest’ (Winner of 2 Rondo’s) at Image Comics.
While he’s always been a versatile artist, his love of horror really shines through in such titles as: FLESH AND BLOOD, DARK TALES FROM THE VOKESVERSE, and FRIGHT NIGHT (for Now Comics in the ‘90s and recently for American Mythology Comics).
He’s also drawn illustrations for the film books. “IN ALL SINCERITY, PETER CUSHING” by Chris Gullo, and “VINCENT PRICE: THE ART OF FEAR” by the late Denis Meikle
Recently, he’s drawn a couple covers for author Christopher Rondina: HUNTING DRACULA (back) and HUNTING THE BEAST (front).
“I’ve left quite a few projects out due to space and humility…well – OK…just space. I love what I do and I can’t imagine doing anything else…except maybe watching more movies in a single day.”
–That’s All, Vokes! Neil Vokes
